  • Is Trokeo really free?+

    Yes — for the first 3 months for everyone. We don't ask for a card. We're focused on getting neighbours on the app first; pricing comes later, and you'll get plenty of notice.

  • How does the chat translation work?+

    When you message a neighbour, Trokeo reads the language you've set in the app and silently translates between the two of you. There's no toggle and no notice — Spanish writers see Spanish, Dutch readers see Dutch.

  • How do I install Trokeo on my phone?+

    Open trokeo.app in Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android), tap the share / menu icon, and choose ‘Add to Home Screen' / ‘Install app'. You get a full-screen app icon with no app store needed.

  • Are users verified?+

    Yes. Trokeo asks for photo ID at sign-up. The Verified badge on a profile means we've manually checked that document.

  • What if a neighbour behaves badly?+

    Report any listing or conversation from the ‘…' menu on it. Reports go straight to the moderation queue and we aim to triage within 24 hours.

  • Can I delete my data?+

    Yes. Settings → Delete account anonymises your profile and removes messages. We keep activity logs for accounting/legal reasons (Spanish law) but with all identifying data scrubbed.
